Job Summary
Superintendent (Commercial) leads on-site field administration and supervision for commercial construction projects in Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities include directing field personnel, coordinating with subcontractors, promoting a safety culture, maintaining quality standards, scheduling, conducting pre-task meetings, managing permits and inspections, field documentation (daily reports, safety forms, scopes of work), tracking quantities, producing as-built drawings, coordinating material delivery, and engaging with clients and project representatives. Requires strong leadership, extensive construction knowledge in vertical and horizontal builds, and ability to manage subcontractor relations and field operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Appropriate supervisory experience
- OSHA 10&30 hr, First Aid & CPR, SWPPP Inspector, Silica, Risk Management & Accident training
- Competent person trainings in trenching, scaffolds, rigging, confined space & fall protection
- 1 to 5 years construction-related experience or construction management/engineering
- Good communication and people skills
- Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel
- Valid Driver License and ability to commute to job sites
