Commercial Superintendent

Job Summary
Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and resources to ensure commercial reconstruction projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet safety and quality standards. Monitor daily progress, conduct inspections, and collaborate with project managers, clients, and adjusters to resolve challenges and maintain clear communication. Take ownership of sites by ensuring well-documented progress and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and travel for extended periods for CAT assignments. Perform work activities involving material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators and safety footwear.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction or restoration experience with a strong background in site supervision or field management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of commercial building codes, safety regulations, and inspection requirements
- Proven ability to organize, schedule, and direct multiple crews and subcontractors
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on teamwork and accountability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with project management software and mobile applications
- IICRC certifications or equivalent
- Ability to obtain provincial asbestos certification
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving abstract
- Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
- Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear
- Ability to travel for extended periods for CAT assignments
