Job Summary
Act as the focal point for gathering relevant information and drafting formal letters, position papers and commercial notices. Support subcontract managers by referring to contractual provisions, advising on implications and how to move forward, and collaborate with the procurement team on risk mitigations and best-for-project approaches. Demonstrate a big-picture, high-responsibility mindset to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth project operations. Utilize Excel for advanced data management, review and manage payment implications and applications, draft formal letters and other correspondence, and coordinate kickoff meetings with construction and technical teams. Receive and manage claims from subcontractors, ensuring commercial requirements are met and stakeholders are cc’d. This role is with ONxpress Civils (CJV) for the modernization of regional rail infrastructure, based in Toronto, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in related field
- Education in law, Civil Engineering, construction discipline or related field preferred
- Familiarity with the Construction Industry
- Experience with bridge or rail projects is a plus
- Proven ability to coordinate with project coordinators, finance, cost control, technical, procurement, design, and investigation teams
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
