Job Summary
Commercial Specialist at Advance Auto Parts will support CPP-led commercial sales and coordinate dispatching for deliveries from order creation through dispatch, manage store vehicle fleet maintenance and safety checks, and perform account visits, upselling, and cross-selling to increase transaction value. The role involves leading the organization around the parts department area, maintaining product knowledge, handling customer deliveries per driver procedures, engaging with walk-in customers, supporting onboarding and special projects, and ensuring accuracy in inventory and dispatch tasks. Strong communication, vehicle maintenance knowledge, proficiency in inventory systems and POS, and the ability to work varied days/evenings/weekends are essential; the job requires reading and interpreting safety and operations documents and proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (MVR)
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; ability to write simple correspondence
- Strong selling skills for commercial customers
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a busy environment
- Experience or familiarity with inventory management and dispatching (preferred)
- ASE certification preferred, but not required
