Job Summary
Commercial Specialist role supporting CPP-led commercial sales and coordinating deliveries from order creation to dispatched. Lead the parts department/backroom areas, monitor store vehicle fleet maintenance and safety checks, perform account stocking visits and flyer drops, and conduct outbound calls and customer deliveries. Responsible for upselling and cross-selling to increase transaction value, and leading the commercial program when CPP is not present (including weekends). Engage with walk-in customers to assess needs and recommend parts/services; assist CPPs and GMs with inventory tasks and special projects; onboard shadowing for new team members. Requires strong communication, inventory systems proficiency, safety knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment. Education includes a high school diploma or GED; ASE certification is preferred but not required. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (MVR certification). Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents; basic math; experience with Microsoft Word/Excel; willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques; teamwork and customer relationship skills. Bilingual in English; Spanish a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (MVR)
- MVR certification
- ASE certification preferred, but not required
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
- Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Strong selling skills for commercial customers
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Experience with POS and parts lookup systems
- Knowledge of automotive systems (engine, suspension, brakes, electrical, exhaust) or willingness to learn
- Customer service and relationship-building abilities
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Prior automotive parts experience or dispatching/logistics coordination preferred
