Job Summary
Commercial Specialist responsible for supporting CPP-led commercial sales, coordinating commercial deliveries from order creation to dispatch, and managing the parts department area including inventory, backroom organization, and vehicle readiness. Duties include conducting account stocking visits, performing outbound calls and follow-ups, assisting in upselling and cross-selling to increase order value, leading the commercial program when CPP is not present (weekends as required), and mentoring or onboarding new team members. Requires knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals, proficiency with POS and parts lookup systems, basic math and Microsoft Word/Excel, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, customer relationship building, and ensuring vehicle fleet safety and maintenance. Education requirement is a high school diploma or GED; ASE certification is preferred but not required. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and MVR certification. The role involves walking/standing, lifting up to 50-100 pounds, and working inside with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions; comfortable in a busy retail environment with a focus on commercial customers and relationship building.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- MVR certification
- ASE certification preferred, but not required
- English required, Spanish a plus
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures
- Ability to operate Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong selling and customer-service skills
- Experience in inventory management and parts lookup systems
- Knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance schedules
- Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends
- Prior automotive parts or dispatching/logistics experience preferred
