Job Summary
Commercial Service Technician responsible for installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC/R systems, food service equipment, plumbing, fuel dispensers, and electrical systems across Pilot Company sites in the Amarillo, TX region. Responsibilities include responding to service requests, diagnosing issues, communicating repair status to supervision and store management, completing same-day work order notes, maintaining inventory and service vehicle readiness, repairing fuel dispensers and fuel security systems (training provided), inspecting facilities for safety, performing preventive maintenance on rooftop units, refrigeration, fryers, and other equipment, ensuring OSHA/Pilot Company compliance, and upholding company values with guests and team members. Requires EPA Universal 608, 3+ years of HVAC service experience, 3+ years on refrigeration or cooking equipment, strong problem-solving and customer-service skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and readiness to travel locally with a provided company vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state driver’s license
- EPA Universal 608 certification
- Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
- OSHA familiarity (OSHA 10 training provided)
- Ability to read and interpret site drawings
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, work in inclement weather
- Travel less than 10%
