Commercial Service Tech II

Job Summary
Perform routine and emergency service calls, troubleshoot, replace, and/or repair malfunctioning or inoperative equipment. Proctor, coach, and teach others; provide reliable, high quality customer support; instruct customers on system operation and functionality; perform system testing and signal verification; maintain truck stock and tools; organize resources for efficient task execution; document service hours and tasks in a timely manner; maintain a strong work ethic and attention to detail; undertake additional projects as assigned. Requires a High School Diploma/Vocational Training and 3+ years of experience, along with mastery knowledge of commercial intrusion, fire, CCTV, intercom and access-control systems, and familiarity with relevant codes; valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screening; ability to read technical drawings in English; obtain/retain required product certifications/licenses; travel as needed and on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training
- Three (3) or more years of experience
- Mastery knowledge of troubleshooting commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom and access control systems
- Working knowledge of local/national codes
- Mastery knowledge of test equipment (multimeters, battery analyzers and decibel meters)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to clear a drug screening
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, procedures, etc. in English
- Certification/Licensing: Must obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses required by national, state and local codes
- Requires 50% to 75% proficiency in Everon Commercial’s Tier 1 product offerings
- Must be able to travel on short notice
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods
