Job Summary
Diagnose and repair fire pump and aerial ladder issues while assembling under-dash harnesses, switch panels, and circuit boards. Troubleshoot 12V DC and 120V AC circuitry, program lights to customer specifications, and perform functionality checks on sirens, light packages, and flash patterns. Identify and fix quality issues, read technical specs to ensure trucks are built per specification, and communicate delays to management. Maintain a clean work area and use common hand and power tools for precise measurements. Requires ASE or EVT certification, CDL Class B with Air, and 4+ years of truck electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Driver's License CDL Class B with Air
- Unrestricted CDL driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Ability to regularly lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to work with arms above head
- Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area
- Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments
- Must own and can use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, and screw guns
Desired Qualifications
- ASE Certification preferred
- EVT Certification preferred
- Truck Mechanic experience- Mid-level
- Preferred 4 plus years of truck or automotive electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
- EVT / ASE certification preferred (or is willing to obtain certifications)
- Strong technical performance record
- Any manufacturer certifications from prior employment (EONE, Spartan, Road rescue, Wheeled Coach Pierce, etc.) desired
