Job Summary
Commercial Service Electrician responsible for installing wiring, conduits, raceways, cables, and electrical components; energizing power distribution equipment and life safety systems; performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs; interpreting blueprints and project documentation; maintaining tools and equipment; conducting quality checks; supervising/trainings; educating customers on proposed work and safety considerations; participating in after-hours on-call; and ensuring compliance with ESA/building codes and Kraun standards. The role is based in Niagara and surrounding areas, with a focus on industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors, requiring strong communication, organization, and safety-first mindset.
Required Qualifications
- 309-A Electrician (Construction & Maintenance) License in Good Standing with Skilled Trades Ontario
- Ontario G License in Good Standing - must provide a clean 3-year Drivers' Abstract
- Must pass a background screening (reference checks and clean criminal reference check)
- Minimum of three years of recent, consecutive experience as an electrician in industrial/commercial/institutional sectors
- Minimum of three years of experience in customer service or interacting directly with customers
- Knowledge of electrical systems such as power distribution, fire alarms, generators, and control lighting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent knowledge of Electrical Safety Authority code and building codes
- Safety procedures and PPE knowledge
- Strong critical thinking and solution-oriented approach
- Team player with effective communication
- Ability to read electrical drawings and manuals
- Proficiency with software/tools and adaptability to new technology
- English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Organized and reliable
- Ability to travel to different job sites
- Compliance with local building codes and electrical codes
