Job Summary
Sell services and upsell products within the assigned territory to existing customers, new prospects, and customers with previously discontinued JCI systems. Reactivate, add-on, and make minor modifications to out-of-service locations to recapture recurring revenue and acquire new customers. Act as the subject-matter expert for video and digital services, including proactive health, with a focus on driving planned service agreements and improving attach rates. Collaborate with district sales leaders to manage metrics, leverage data from Salesforce and PowerBI, and apply SPIN Selling to convey Johnson Controls’ value proposition. Develop and execute lead-generation strategies to grow existing customers and pursue new opportunities, including non-JCI customers, while ensuring adherence to approved processes and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a successful commercial sales representative in the security, IT, or other technology sales industry, demonstrated by the consistent ability to meet and exceed quota
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years proven commercial sales experience in security, IT, or technology sales
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel locally and work full-time
- SPIN selling experience or methodology would be a plus
- Experience with Salesforce, Power BI, data mining or related dashboards
- Proven ability to meet or exceed quotas and drive recurring revenue
