Job Summary
Lead, coach, and develop a team of small commercial producers to meet new-business, retention, and premium growth goals. Provide strategic guidance to expand the agency by evaluating new market opportunities and support agents through the sales cycle, including policy advice, renewals, and complex submissions. Drive new business development by coaching on lead follow-up, cross-selling, and prospect cultivation while acting as a primary liaison among agents, clients, and internal teams. Maintain carrier relationships with Relationship Managers, oversee local marketing initiatives, and ensure high service levels for on-time renewals and certificate issuance. Monitor performance metrics to identify trends and provide data-driven coaching. Recruit and manage personnel levels to align with business needs. 75%+ travel required. Variable compensation up to 50% of base salary contingent on KPIs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor `s degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial lines products and services
- Proven success with prior sales or related experience
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills, including group and individual presentation, persuasion, negotiation and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills, effective time management, strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Current state license in property, casualty and life insurance
