Job Summary
Commercial Sales Director for Dow Jones Energy focused on NYC-based financial institutions and global banking accounts. Drive net-new revenue, map target organizations, lead end-to-end sales including C-suite engagements, negotiate enterprise-wide licenses, and secure high-dollar renewals while expanding account value. Build relationships with Portfolio Managers, Head Traders, CIOs, and Market Data Procurement executives; forecast revenue and maintain pipeline hygiene. Requires extensive enterprise sales experience, strong negotiation skills, knowledge of energy/commodities data in trading, and familiarity with AI integration and APIs; Salesforce competence and experience with modern sales tools are expected.
Required Qualifications
- At least 7 years of sophisticated commercial sales, enterprise account executive, or business development experience with a proven history of hitting and exceeding multi-million dollar quotas
- Deep understanding of how energy, commodities, and ESG data integrate into macro trading strategies, risk management, and investment banking models
- Exceptional negotiation skills and proven experience pitching directly to market data heads, portfolio managers, and C-suite executives on Wall Street
- Ability to leverage usage data and market analytics to spot expansion opportunities and construct ROI models
- Familiarity with AI integration, advanced feeds, and APIs in data consumption
- Proficiency with Salesforce and modern sales engagement/analytics platforms
