Commercial Roofing Superintendent

Job Summary
Manage and direct commercial roofing crews to maximize productivity while ensuring installations adhere to specifications, OSHA standards, and manufacturer requirements. Lead field operations by preparing material purchase orders, equipment load lists, and site reports, while documenting preexisting conditions, cores, and preconstruction meeting discussions. Maintain client relationships, resolve problems with documented recommendations, and conduct ongoing safety inspections and training. Carry and climb ladders to take roof samples and verify measurements for sheet metal fabrication. Work full-time in the Mount Holly, NC field, reporting status updates to the Operations Manager and Project Management personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to mentor and lead a commercial roofing field team
- Knowledge of generally accepted industry roofing practices
- Detailed knowledge of roofing safety requirements as outlined in OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of manufacturer system requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, details, and specifications
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to plan ahead to avoid potential problems
- Ability to carry and climb ladders
- Confidence on roof top
- Ability to take roof samples (cores)
- Ability to thoroughly document roof conditions, measurements, etc.
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
