Job Summary
Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the commercial construction and roofing sector, while developing strategic sales plans focused on long-term account growth. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including building owners, property managers, developers, consultants, and general contractors to lead value-driven sales conversations. Collaborate with internal estimating and operations teams to develop accurate scopes, pricing, and project strategies, then negotiate contracts and terms in alignment with company objectives. Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction and drive repeat business. Represent Nations Roof in the marketplace through networking events, industry associations, and trade organizations. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–5+ years of sales experience within a commercial contractor environment, with a hybrid schedule based in Tallahassee, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5+ years of sales experience within a commercial contractor environment (e.g., roofing, HVAC, electrical, paving, or similar)
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, developing, and closing new business, as well as growing existing accounts
- Strong understanding of the commercial construction sales cycle and project lifecycle
- Proven ability to sell value and build long-term, trust-based client relationships
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with estimating and operations teams
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel locally within the Chicago area
