Job Summary
Safety Manager for the Norfolk, VA office leading safety programs across a growing commercial roofing company. Responsibilities include implementing comprehensive safety practices (job site safety, fall protection, hazard communication), coordinating and delivering safety training, inspecting projects for compliance, developing Site Specific Safety Plans and AHAs, ensuring OSHA, federal, state, and local regulation adherence, supporting OSHA audits, and collaborating with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Suppliers to maintain safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or related field OR 5+ years of relevant field safety experience
- 3+ years’ experience in Commercial construction and/or commercial roofing industry safety management
- Experience with Site-Specific Safety Plans, Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA), OSHA audits, and field-level safety training for crews and project teams
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30-hour in Construction 1926
- OSHA 500 certification
- EM 385 certification
- Fall Protection Trainer Certified
- BCSP certification
