Job Summary
Commercial Roofing Superintendent leads on-site roofing activities, supervises foremen and crews, and coordinates with project managers to deliver high-quality roofing projects safely, on time, and within budget. Oversees installation, repair, and maintenance across new construction and reroof projects, enforces OSHA standards, conducts daily site visits and safety audits, manages materials and crews, reviews change orders and billing alignment, and serves as the main on-site client contact while mentoring roofing teams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of commercial roofing experience
- Superintendent or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified, Metal)
- Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and job site compliance
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing multiple crews and large-scale projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or project management tools
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops
- Ability to lift materials and climb ladders regularly
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
