Job Summary
This Commercial Roofing Estimator role focuses on turning drawings, specs, and project scopes into accurate estimates and competitive proposals. You’ll perform detailed takeoffs and pricing for roofing systems, conduct site visits, solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing, and coordinate with operations to ensure smooth project handoffs. Build value-engineered options, maintain supplier relationships, and support bids across a range of commercial projects in Michigan. The role offers growth toward Senior Estimator or Preconstruction leadership and includes a competitive base salary with performance incentives, benefits, and a company vehicle or allowance. Strong communication, organization, and deadline-driven collaboration are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial roofing or building envelope
- Knowledge of TPO, PVC, EPDM, BUR, Modified Bitumen, metal roofing, and coatings
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, The EDGE, Excel, or similar estimating tools
