Job Summary
Install commercial low slope and industrial roofing systems by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection equipment. Operate tools including roofing knives, hammers, nail guns, rollers, and torches while removing snow, debris, and water prior to installation. Clean and maintain tools and work areas, load and unload materials from vehicles, and shovel loose materials like gravel, sand, or dirt. Assist foremen in identifying material needs and installation requirements. Work outdoors in varied extreme weather conditions, lifting 50-100 pounds regularly and ascending ladders up to 40 feet. Travel consecutively for 3 to 4 weeks at a time.
Required Qualifications
- Follow all safety training and requirements
- Able and willing to travel and stay out of town for 3 to 4 weeks consecutively at a time
- Experience installing commercial low slope and industrial roofing systems
- Working knowledge of roofing materials, installation procedures, and safety practices
- Ability to read tape measures, layouts, and basic construction drawings
- Must have a current and valid driver's license (for company driving positions)
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- High School diploma, equivalent or complete GED within 6 months of employment
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to communicate effectively through written correspondence and verbally in English
- Must be able to lift to 50- 100 pounds at a time on a regular basis throughout the day
- Must be able to frequently ascend/descend ladder up to 40 feet
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, bend over, or kneel for an extended period of time
- Must be able to work in varied extreme weather condition (extreme hot and extreme cold weather)
- Willing to work long hours and overtime
