Job Summary
Independent reviews of commercial real estate appraisal reports to ensure compliance with USPAP, FIRREA, internal policies, and sound valuation practices. Evaluate appraisal methodologies, assumptions, and conclusions; provide risk-based analysis and recommendations to credit teams; communicate findings with internal stakeholders and external appraisers; manage appraisal review workflow to meet production targets; support credit decisioning with valuation insights; remote-work-ready with fully remote environment and preferred state certifications in PA/NJ/MD/DE/VA.
Required Qualifications
- Certified General Appraiser designation (required)
- Active certification in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, or Virginia
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial appraisal experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial property types and valuation techniques
- Experience reviewing appraisals within a financial institution or similar environment preferred
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and appraisal compliance
- Ability to manage volume while maintaining high quality standards
