Commercial - Retread Technician

Job Summary
Perform retreading tasks on commercial truck tires including skiving, filling skives, chamber operations, tire repair, tread application, and initial/final inspections. Operate buffer and builder machinery while maintaining high-quality workmanship and adhering to safety regulations from Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA, and NCDOL. Train personnel in assigned areas and report production problems to the Plant Manager. Work inside the warehouse Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3 pm, lifting up to 50 lbs and operating in various weather conditions. Maintain a clean work environment and obtain certification in the Bandag Master Craftsman Program.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment
- Dependable - Employee must be reliable, responsible and trustworthy, and complete all assigned obligations.
- Attention to Detail - Employee must be thorough in completing tasks and must always be aware of potential safety issues.
- Cooperation - Employee must be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
- Integrity - Employee is required to be honest and ethical.
- Communication - Employee must provide courteous and clear written and verbal communication with customers and co-workers.
- Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly.
- Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
- Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
- Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
- Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.
- Must be willing to be certified and maintain certification in the Bandag Master Craftsman Program and other Bandag certificate programs.
- Monday - Friday 7 am - 3 pm
