Job Summary
Commercial Renovation Estimator responsible for preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial renovation projects, conducting site visits to evaluate conditions, reviewing plans and specifications to determine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor proposals, developing detailed budgets and client proposals, coordinating with project management for turnover and buyout, and ensuring estimates align with Florida Building Codes. The role supports preconstruction activities, value engineering, and cost-saving initiatives, requiring strong takeoff and estimating skills, the ability to interpret construction documents, and travel to project sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
- Strong quantity takeoff and construction cost estimating skills
- Ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Working knowledge of Florida Building Codes as they relate to commercial renovation projects
- Experience performing site assessments and developing estimates based on existing conditions
- Ability to travel for day trips to project sites as needed
- Experience estimating renovation, rehabilitation, tenant improvement, interior build-out, or occupied facility construction projects
