Commercial Relationship Officer

Job Summary
Manage an active portfolio of small, medium, and large loan relationships by interviewing applicants, structuring, and negotiating loan terms while approving loans within established authority. Assign risk grades to loans and relationships, develop pricing strategies, and facilitate collections on past due accounts. Actively participate in new business development by identifying prospective customers and cross-selling all company products. Respond to referrals from senior management, maintain customer relationships, and provide training to lending personnel. Monitor lending developments and compliance with policies to suggest credit policy changes. Support internal and external audit examinations and perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 year previous lending experience
- 3 years job related experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and local organizations
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Professional sales ability
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand or sit frequently
- Ability to kneel, stoop, or squat
- Ability to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
