Job Summary
Install, service, and clean commercial ice machines for restaurants, bars, and hotels while performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting repairs. Manage ice pickup and delivery, maintain proper truck stock and vehicle cleanliness, and ensure all equipment is bagged and delivered according to standard operating procedures. Document service visits with photos and reports, process customer payments, and communicate effectively with clients and coworkers to complete work orders on time. Drive a vehicle for up to 60 percent of the work week, often standing for extended periods, and adapt to flexible shifts to support our nationwide subscription business.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service-oriented technical role or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components related to ice machines or similar equipment
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and standard repair practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure service calls are completed in a timely manner
- Skills in maintaining organized records and documentation of service activities
- Demonstrated track record of delivering highest level of customer satisfaction
- High-energy individual with a positive attitude and strong commitment to customer satisfaction
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and service protocols in the field of ice machine repair and maintenance
- Strong work ethic and dedication to new technologies and service protocols in the field of ice machine repair and maintenance
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Stands for extended periods of time (6+ hours per day)
- Drive a vehicle for up to 60 percent of the hours worked
