Job Summary
Install, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems in supermarkets, service stations, and industrial facilities. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures in HVAC and refrigeration systems, inspect components like compressors and expansion valves, and perform routine maintenance. Recover and reclaim refrigerant in compliance with EPA regulations while conducting safety inspections and maintaining accurate service logs. Provide excellent customer service on-site at client facilities. Requires EPA Section 608 certification, blueprint reading skills, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a commercial refrigeration technician
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification (Type II or Universal preferred)
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and parallel rack systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
- Reliability and strong work ethic
- Advanced mechanical proficiency and spatial thinking skills
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
