Job Summary
Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support complex commercial real estate and corporate transactions at a Baton Rouge law firm; responsibilities include assisting with all stages of transactions from pre-closing to post-closing, preparing closing documents, disbursement statements, and title policies, analyzing real estate documents and surveys, overseeing closing binder preparation and post-closing matters, drafting UCC financing statements, contracts, financial documents, and corporate documents, maintaining strong communication with external parties to ensure smooth closings, and managing deadlines to meet billing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, with a preference for a four-year degree or paralegal studies certificate (experience may be substituted)
- 3-5 years of paralegal experience in a business/corporate environment preferred
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and a document management system
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Top-notch proofreading abilities
- Experience using electronic legal resources and support software a plus
