Job Summary
Commercial Real Estate Paralegal sought for Lawson Lundell LLP in Vancouver with 8:30am–4:30pm hours and hybrid options. Responsibilities include reviewing commercial contracts of purchase and sale, easements, rights of way, subdivisions, and strata plan filings; preparing documents for acquisitions, sales, financing, and development of land; conducting due diligence searches and summaries; preparing closing agendas; drafting all documents from start to completion on commercial real estate transactions; handling registration of documents and security in land title offices and government registries; liaising with internal/external parties; reviewing and responding to correspondence. Requires paralegal certification and at least 10 years in a downtown law firm; strong MS Office skills; knowledge of BC land title registration; ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work both independently and in a team; excellent organization, time management, interpersonal, and English communication skills; compensation is $80k–$100k annually plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution
- Minimum 10 years of downtown law firm experience
- Aptitude in Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of BC land title registration requirements
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and solve problems in a fast paced environment
- Has the ability to work both independently and as part of a collegial team
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Displays extraordinary customer service in a professional, mature and courteous manner
- Highly dependable and adaptable with great work ethic
