Job Summary
As a CRE Credit Analyst at Sunflower Bank, you will support Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Managers in day-to-day activities, including producing inputs such as financial spreads, charts, and models for credit recommendations; assisting with new extensions of credit, amendments/waivers, and annual reviews; developing loan-condition and collateral summaries; understanding bank metrics for credit decisions and tracking client performance post-close; summarizing industry conditions and client profitability, and collaborating with product areas to support client relationships. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (or related field), 1+ year CRE lending/credit analysis, strong Excel/Word skills, familiarity with Salesforce.com and nCino, excellent communication, attention to detail, and travel as needed. The position involves in-person work in Dallas, TX, with standard banking responsibilities and the potential to engage in various credit-analysis activities and loan documentation tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or other applicable undergraduate or graduate degree
- 1+ years in commercial real estate lending and credit analysis
- Understanding of commercial real estate lending processes and asset classes (office, retail, industrial, multifamily) and market trends
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, specifically Word/Excel
- Aptitude for learning new systems and applications quickly, specifically Salesforce.com and nCino Bank Operating System
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to stay educated on industry trends, market conditions and regulatory requirements and develop professionally
- Ability to understand financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow)
- Travel will be required
