Job Summary
Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, easements, and operating agreements for sophisticated commercial real estate transactions. Conduct due diligence on title, survey, zoning, and environmental reports while representing technology companies, data center developers, institutional investors, REITs, private equity sponsors, and lenders. Manage acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing matters, with a preference for experience in data center leasing, colocation agreements, and secured loan documentation. Independently handle multiple complex transactions while maintaining significant client interaction within a collaborative AmLaw 50 environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
- Experience representing technology companies, institutional investors, developers, REITs, private equity sponsors, lenders, borrowers, and real estate investment funds
- Experience handling commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing transactions, and due diligence
- Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, easements, operating agreements, and other real estate transaction documents
- Experience reviewing title, survey, zoning, environmental reports, and other real estate due diligence materials
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
- New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with data center transactions, including leasing, colocation agreements, acquisitions, dispositions, development, and related real estate matters, is strongly preferred
- Experience documenting, negotiating, and closing commercial real estate secured loans is preferred
- Excellent academic credentials
