Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive market intelligence on competitor pricing and trends to optimize defense product strategies. Develop detailed financial models forecasting costs and profitability while preparing summaries for data-driven decisions. Serve as a key member of proposal teams, creating cost estimates and competitive pricing strategies for large-scale government bids. Ensure full compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense guidelines, maintaining accurate audit-ready documentation. Partner with product, finance, engineering, and sales teams to align pricing with business objectives and go-to-market plans. Present pricing strategies and risk assessments to senior leadership and government representatives during reviews and negotiations.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as finance, economics, business, or accounting
- minimum of 8 to 10+ years of pricing, financial analysis, or cost estimating experience
- a significant portion in a government or defense contracting environment
- In-depth understanding of the defense industry, government procurement processes, and relevant regulations (e.g. FAR and DFARS)
- Must be adept at creating solutions to complex problems that satisfy multiple stakeholders and navigate the complexities of federal contracting
- The ability to effectively negotiate contract proposals
- Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate complex pricing strategies and data-driven insights to both internal teams and government clients
- Expertise with pricing software and analytical tools, including advanced Excel
- Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance
- Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
