Job Summary
Commercial & Procurement Specialist role focused on delivering complex procurements across Defence, security, digital services, infrastructure and professional services. Responsibilities include designing and running major procurements, creating procurement and contracting strategy, advising on tender processes, negotiating and closing deals, managing supplier engagement and business cases to launch procurements, and overseeing transitions from legacy to new frameworks. You’ll review client procurement performance, lead programmes to restructure functions and improve capability (e.g., category management, supplier relationship management, sustainable supply chains), and provide commercial management for large, collaborative assignments. The ideal candidate has experience with large, high-spend procurements, understands the procurement lifecycle, can craft procurement strategies, evaluate tenders, negotiate terms, manage major contracts, and has strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills. Familiarity with NEC contracts and government procurements is highly desired; MCIPS or MRICS Chartered status is preferred. A background in project or financial management is advantageous.
