Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial pool systems and equipment including pumps, motors, filters, heaters, and automation to ensure safe, efficient operation. Provide detailed repair quotes, evaluate customer needs, and recommend solutions balancing performance, longevity, and budget. Contact clients prior to service, explain findings during repairs, and follow up post-service to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with internal teams via Slack, share technical findings, and mentor less experienced technicians. Deliver workmanship meeting company quality standards while representing Poolie professionally at all times. Full-time flexible schedule Monday through Friday with competitive pay and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial pool repair, pool service, or aquatic facility maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of commercial pool equipment, hydraulics, filtration systems, automation systems, and water circulation systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of pool equipment and mechanical systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Team-player mentality with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
Desired Qualifications
- RAIL (Residential Appliance Installer License) or equivalent licensing, where required.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
- Experience with commercial automation and chemical controller systems.
- Experience training or mentoring technicians.
- Strong understanding of estimating and quoting repairs based on customer needs and facility requirements.
- Experience working with HOAs, multifamily communities, hotels, schools, municipalities, or aquatic facilities.
