Commercial Plumber Pipefitter

Job Summary
Inspect, install, repair, replace, modify and perform preventative maintenance on facility plumbing, piping, plant utility systems, pumps, and fire protection systems, including piping, drainage, valves, traps, pumps, motors, compressors, fluid and medical gas systems and related fixtures. Address complex problems involving modification or partial redesign of equipment or piping; chemically treat closed-loop cooling/heating systems; maintain records and complete system testing per applicable codes and JCAHO requirements; install new equipment and piping systems compliant with codes. Requires knowledge of plumbing codes, ability to read blueprints, and strong communication skills; high school diploma or equivalent with trade/vocational training in pipefitting/plumbing/fire protection or equivalent experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade/Vocational school training in Pipefitting, Plumbing, Fire Protection systems or equivalent experience
- Valid Driver’s License (as applicable for vehicle operation)
Desired Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumber License Preferred
- Medical gas piping certification preferred
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record preferred
- Trade/Vocational school training in Pipefitting, Plumbing, Fire Protection systems or equivalent experience
