Job Summary
Mid-Level Commercial Plumber responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and drainage systems for restaurants and commercial properties. Duties include diagnosing issues (pipes, water heaters, dishwashers, sinks, faucets, toilets), assisting in installation/upgrades for renovations or new construction, conducting preventive maintenance, ensuring compliance with local codes and foodservice health standards, and communicating with clients about repairs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations. Must read blueprints/schematics, follow safety regulations, and be able to work in potentially demanding environments. Preferred experience in commercial kitchen plumbing (grease traps, dishwashers, ice machines) and familiarity with backflow prevention; on-call/weekend availability encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in plumbing with focus on commercial/restaurant systems
- Valid plumbing license or certification in the state/country of employment
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards; ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Skilled in use of plumbing tools and equipment
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in tight spaces
- Strong verbal communication skills; customer service aptitude
- Willingness to work on-call hours or weekends as needed
