Job Summary

Maintain commercial customer relationships and achieve personal sales goals by providing GAS2 selling experience and advanced solution recommendations. Source parts from numerous locations including special orders, FDO, and second sources while directing drivers to ensure timely, accurate delivery. Supervise Team Members through daily coaching on developmental needs and ensure proper driver coverage. Manage commercial stocking programs, credit accounts, and core bank returns to support profitable growth. Dispatch drivers to uphold delivery standards and build a network of second source suppliers. Requires ASE P2 certification or readiness, ability to work evenings and weekends, and strong automotive system knowledge. Full-time position with sales commission eligibility.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
  • Speak and write English
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Use Microsoft software effectively (Word, Excel required)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understand Commercial profitability concepts, including knowledge of competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems, and diagnostic ability to include: internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.
  • Advanced solution, project and product quality recommendation ability
  • Ability to source from numerous places including special order, FDO, second source, etc.
  • Ability to direct the drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized
  • Effective communication, listening and problem solving skills
  • Ability to locate and stock parts
  • Safety knowledge and skills
  • Operating inventory systems and store equipment
  • Operating POS and Parts lookup systems
  • Parts and automotive system knowledge skills
  • Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be able to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Friendly communication
  • Advanced selling skills for commercial customers
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior automotive parts experience
  • Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions
  • Formal or informal experience leading teams, including supervising daily tasks, and working together to achieve goals
  • Spanish language ability
  • ASE certification
