Job Summary
Director overseeing estimating and project oversight for a commercial painting division near Syracuse, NY. Responsible for estimating labor, materials, equipment, margins, and project scope; reviewing blueprints, specs, and RFPs to prepare bids; building proposals for commercial painting projects; managing multiple commercial jobs simultaneously; assigning crews and aligning project needs with team capabilities; overseeing progress, quality, scheduling, and issue resolution; directing project supervisors on priorities and execution; monitoring budgets, profitability, and execution standards; maintaining GC and client communications; resolving change orders and field issues; and supporting commercial growth through GC relationships and follow-up.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial painting estimating experience
- 5+ years of commercial painting project oversight experience
- Ability to read blueprints, specs, and RFPs
- Ability to manage GC relationships and field issues
- Valid driver’s license
