Job Summary
Commercial Officer responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial clients, leading relationship strategy, developing new business, and delivering tailored financial solutions. Key duties include portfolio management, business development through networking and referrals, client relationship management, credit analysis and underwriting collaboration, cross-selling of bank products (treasury management, mortgage, investments), and maintaining regulatory compliance. Requires strong sales aptitude, credit analysis skills, familiarity with local market dynamics, and proficiency with banking CRM software. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field of study
- AA or AS degree with six or more years of relevant lending experience or ten or more years of relevant experience with no degree may be substituted for bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of five (5) years of relatable experience in commercial banking or business lending
- Proven track record in sales, portfolio growth, and client retention
- Strong credit analysis and underwriting skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in banking software and CRM systems
