Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and forward-looking risk assessments for commercial middle market portfolios, including periodic deal reviews and renewal decisions. Manage underwriting, approval, and documentation processes for new money, renewals, and ancillary products while escalating non-standard requests to senior leadership. Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Credit Risk on credit structuring, pricing, and due diligence, providing guidance on deal structures and risk mitigation strategies. Deliver portfolio performance reports to senior management and review work product from junior analysts to ensure accuracy and consistency. Maintain independent, current views of client creditworthiness and ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial banking, portfolio management, underwriting or a related discipline
- Subject matter expert level understanding of accounting, credit analysis, portfolio management, structuring, underwriting, and legal documentation
- Strong risk judgment with demonstrated ability to manage complex and higher risk portfolios
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and risk partners
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex transactions, and strategic initiatives while meeting deadlines
