Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel- and gas-powered equipment and machinery. Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, tractors, loaders, excavators, skid Steers, trailers, and other heavy equipment. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Perform welding and equipment modifications as needed. Repair and replace worn or damaged components. Maintain service records and repair documentation. Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs. Ensure equipment meets safety standards and operates efficiently. Keep shop and work areas organized and clean.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a mechanic working on diesel engines, gasoline engines, and heavy equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience (MIG & Stick welding preferred)
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read service manuals and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- CDL license (preferred but not required)
- Equipment certifications or technical training
