Job Summary
Commercial Manager to own end-to-end commercial activities across capital projects and NEC4 frameworks within Severn Trent’s Capital Delivery team. Lead commercial activities, manage and develop Quantity Surveyors and early career professionals, and build strong supplier relationships while driving value, cost assurance, risk management, and continuous improvement. Partner with Design, Delivery, Finance and Legal to ensure outcomes for customers and communities; lead tenders, negotiations, and contract management; apply procurement and category management experience to infrastructure-focused projects; utilise data and insight to drive performance and challenge costs to ensure value for money. Degree qualified with professional membership (CIPS, RICS or similar) desirable; ongoing training and development available.
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Experience managing suppliers, contracts, and commercial outcomes
- Experience running tenders, negotiations, or sourcing strategies
- Exposure to construction or NEC contracts is helpful—but not essential (we’ll support you)
