Job Summary

Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the UK, ensuring alignment with regional objectives while driving sustainable revenue growth and profitability. Lead high-performing Sales and Customer Service teams through performance management, talent development, and coaching to foster a culture of accountability. Partner with Marketing to implement market growth initiatives and collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure effective execution of business priorities. Analyze market trends and business performance data to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and inform strategic decision-making. Act as the commercial lead for the UK business, representing the region within the wider EMEA commercial organisation and contributing to broader strategic initiatives. Essentra plc is a leading global provider of essential components and solutions, operating in industries such as equipment manufacturing, automotive, and renewable energy.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in a commercial, sales leadership, business management or general management role within a B2B environment
  • Proven track record of developing and executing commercial strategies that deliver sustainable revenue growth, margin improvement and profitable business expansion
  • Demonstrable P&L ownership with responsibility for revenue, profitability, forecasting and budget management
  • Degree qualified in Business, Commercial Management, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial leadership experience
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to analyse market, customer and business performance data to drive strategic decision-making
  • Proven experience leading and developing commercial teams through coaching, performance management and talent development
  • Able to lead through organisational change and create a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement
  • Strong ability to influence, collaborate and build effective relationships across matrix organisations, including senior stakeholders, key customers and cross-functional teams
  • Experience driving process improvements, standardisation and efficiency initiatives across commercial functions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience within industrial manufacturing or industrial components sectors (Desirable)
  • Experience leading commercial transformation initiatives. (Desirable)
