Commercial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems while troubleshooting and repairing issues to ensure property readiness for new tenants. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance concerns, maintain clean exteriors, and complete service requests efficiently. Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation approximately one week every 10 weeks. Work independently with a company vehicle provided, fuel and maintenance included, and consistent year-round schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to meet Oakbrook's driving requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Commercial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
  • Experience working with commercial HVAC equipment and building automation systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and quality workmanship
