Commercial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial facilities, completing work orders for plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, roofing, HVAC, and general building repairs. Troubleshoot and repair building systems, drywall, doors, walls, ceilings, flooring, and minor fixtures while conducting facility inspections to identify maintenance needs. Use a tablet or smartphone to manage work orders, document repairs, and submit reports, communicating professionally with customers throughout the process. Follow all safety policies and OSHA standards while assisting with project estimates. Requires 2–5 years of commercial building maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of commercial building maintenance experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades
- Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general facility repairs
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and building mechanical equipment
- Comfortable using mobile technology, tablets, and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple service calls
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
