Job Summary
Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist I supports the bank's loan portfolio by preparing and reconciling commercial loans, municipal leases, and participation loans for the servicing system. Responsibilities include reconciling transmitted loans, processing loan modifications, remitting payments to participating banks, inputting loan data and index values, daily balancing of payments and ledgers, monitoring construction loans, reviewing loan documentation, assisting customers with servicing inquiries, quoting payoffs, and filing UCC/vehicle liens as needed. The role requires handling sensitive information, adherence to regulatory requirements (BSA/AML/CIP/OFAC), and participation in mandatory compliance training. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to work independently in a professional office setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of data entry and customer service experience
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Ability to understand and use bank policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and effective time management skills
- Above average communications skills with emphasis on listening and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand and convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and exceptional organization skills
- Ability to prioritize duties and work independently
- Ability to meet designated deadlines while remaining flexible to changing assignments
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Adapts to changes in the work environment and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- Preferred: College degree in business or related field
- Preferred: Previous experience in real estate, mortgage lending or commercial lending office
