Job Summary
Manage an individual loan portfolio by maintaining ongoing business relationships with present customers to drive cross-selling opportunities and solicit new business from prospective clients. Directly supervise assigned Commercial Loan Officers by organizing work schedules, reviewing performance, and providing on-the-job training. Jointly establish annual sales objectives with your supervisor and monitor individual performance against these targets on a regular basis. Negotiate loan provisions and structures while making presentations to the loan committee and assisting customers with specialized services from other departments. Actively represent the Bank in public relations and community activities, including attending sales and trade meetings to develop new business leads.
Required Qualifications
- A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field
- specialized commercial banking education and/or training
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills
- proficient written, analytical and mathematics skills
- proficient interpersonal relations, communicative, and sales skills
- a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank commercial products and services
- a working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact commercial lending
- proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- technical skills sufficient to provide guidance and training to Commercial Loan Officer I(s), II(s), and III(s)
- A minimum of nine (9) years' experience in related positions
