Job Summary
Commercial Loan Officer responsible for developing new business, structuring, underwriting, pricing and documentation of loans, and servicing an existing portfolio; represents the bank in the local community and participates in marketing bank products and services. Essential duties include providing an extraordinary customer experience through a relationship-driven, consultive sales approach; knowledge of bank products and services and ability to advise customers on solutions; monitor loan portfolio risk and early problem identification; maximize profitability through pricing and cross-selling; negotiate terms and present credits for approval; maintain strong relationship banking through ongoing customer contact and service; prepare disclosures; collaborate with other departments for financial write-ups; ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws; participate in community activities for referrals; mentor junior staff; travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in finance, business or economics
- Formal credit training
- Minimum of three years of lending experience
