Job Summary
Review fact patterns to analyze legal issues and prepare complex pre-trial motions for summary judgment. Second chair complex cases or first chair simpler matters while assisting lead trial attorneys with pre-trial proceedings, witness preparation, and deposition testimony. Independently manage small or modestly complex commercial cases in both Federal and State courts. Submit a resume, writing sample, and transcript to apply.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of recent business litigation experience from a law firm
- Licensed to practice in Arizona
- Juris Doctorate
- Excellent academic credentials
- Familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules and practices
- Ability to prepare basic litigation documents
- Case management experience
- Clear and effective drafting skills
- Strong negotiating skills
- Ability to learn new substantive legal topics as needed
- Ability to provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Strong organization and matter management skills
- Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team
