Job Summary
Represent clients in complex commercial and business disputes across state and federal courts, arbitration, and administrative proceedings. Manage all litigation phases including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and post-verdict work. Draft complaints, petitions, and motions while conducting fact investigation and legal research to support case theories. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts, then participate in court appearances and lead hearings. Negotiate settlement agreements through mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes while advising clients on litigation risk and strategy. Requires a Texas-licensed J.D. with three years of litigation experience.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- At least three (3) years of experience as an attorney
- Demonstrated logical reasoning and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of legal experience, preferably in commercial litigation
- Experience in employment litigation
- Experience in professional liability
- Experience in other civil litigation practices
