Job Summary

Commercial Litigation Attorney position for an Illinois- and/or California-licensed litigation associate with 2 to 5 years of commercial litigation experience, based in our Chicago or Torrance offices. The role involves managing litigation and dispute-resolution matters for clients, regular client communication, preparing for and conducting depositions nationwide with travel as required, drafting pleadings and other litigation documents, arguing motions, conducting witness interviews, researching and drafting memoranda, assisting with trials and arbitrations, timely client responses, and collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Hybrid, flexible schedule with remote-work stipend and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Required Qualifications

  • Active license to practice law in Illinois and/or California
  • 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Federal and state court experience
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
