Job Summary
Manage litigation matters through all phases, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation. Draft and argue motions, prepare legal research and memoranda, and assist with case strategy while providing litigation support to attorneys across the firm's Commercial Real Estate, Construction, Regulatory, Real Estate, Banking, and Intellectual Property practice groups. Collaborate with attorneys at multiple offices to deliver high-quality client service, traveling within California as needed for hearings, mediations, and court appearances. This role is designed for a litigator who thrives in a collaborative environment, focusing on delivering exceptional legal work rather than developing a personal book of business.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the California Bar
- 4–8 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience managing litigation matters with increasing independence
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Willingness to travel for court appearances as needed
